Have a few hours spare every week, want to meet new people, make a difference in someones life and give something back to your local community?
If the answer is yes, then we want to hear from you! We’re looking for volunteers of all ages (minimum age 18 years) who are willing to give their time and talents to further the objectives of Radio St Helier.
Our job is to be a friend at their bedside!
Let’s be honest, being unwell and in hospital is never fun. Our volunteers make a real difference to an elderly or vulnerable patient, who may have only spoken to a doctor or nurse to tell them how they are feeling or what they want for dinner that day. In return, volunteers gets the satisfaction of knowing that they have made a real difference to that persons stay in hospital.
Although experience is useful, it is by no means a requirement. You will be given full training around the hospital and in the studio.
Once we receive your application, we would be in contact with you within a couple of weeks to invite you for an informal interview.
Don’t worry; this is just so that we can get to know you, and visa versa. If you’re successful you’ll need a DBS certificate, which we’ll set up. Once we have that, you will be put with an experienced Presenter, as a Studio Assistant, who will show you the ropes.

Work Experience
We are sorry but we are unable to offer work experience places at Radio St. Helier.
As we only operate in the evenings and at weekends and do not have any full time staff during the daytime, it is not possible for us to take on work experience students.
